Another batch of Beogram 4002/4004 keypads

I recently received another batch of 4 keypads from the Beolover to be restored. The process is much more streamlined now that we have the TangentialLab/DKaudiolover Keypad Restoration Kit. I didn't quite get a shot of the original condition unfortunately, but you can imagine they looked a lot like this:

After following the process outlined in the included user guide, I extracted the original keypads and back pieces and then cleaned the frames:


The keypad restoration kit includes all the replacement parts, including the back pieces, to which I applied the included pre-cut adhesive:


The keypad plate itself comes with the adhesive pre-installed, it's tricky to get it positioned exactly right so it's helpful that the work is already done.


Also included in the kit are some handy alignment pieces, I applied them to the frames:


With the alignment pieces in place, I lowered the plate into position, using "feel" of the side edges to center the plate horizontally.


And that's about it, I repeated the process for each of the 4 keypads and they came out perfectly:
